Description

Are you looking for NO PREP and eye catching writing crafts? This resource features zoo animal writing crafts/prompts. These informative / non-fiction writing activities are ideal for informational writing lessons, science report writing, and zoo field trip activities.

Animals featured – frog, gorilla, monkey, polar bear, koala, lion, cheetah, tiger, panda, and rhino.

Planning, example, and instruction pages

There are 3 planning pages for students to plan their writing (you can choose your preferred planning page – they differ in lines/level/layout). Examples and instructions are included.

No prep for you and easy for students to complete independently!

The craft itself is very simple and NO PREP! Get your evenings and weekends back.

Students complete 3 easy steps to make the craft (write, color, and cut). These writing crafts would suit an independent writing center.

Different options

The writing pages have two types of lines (dotted or plain) to choose from. This activity is therefore suitable for students from kindergarten through to 2nd grade.

If your students are proficient writers, simply print extra writing pages. Students can glue as many as they want underneath the writing pages if they would like to write more.

Each animal also comes in color and black and white. The black and white is for students to color. The colored animals can be used though if you want to make an example or don’t want students to color.

Cute in your classroom!

These information writing activities are great for literacy lessons, if you want a creative/art element and excellent for wall displays, bulletin boards, or door decor.
