Are you wondering how to teach sentence writing or how to teach sentence structure? You might even be looking for fun ways to teach sentence structure to kindergarten or first grade students. Either way, you’re in the right place! You and your students are going to love these free sentence building activities!

Teaching basic sentence structure
If you’ve ever wondered how to teach sentence structure, sentence building activities are the way to go! Also known as sentence scramble activities, they are perfect for kindergarten and first grade students who are just learning to write sentences!
Students simply cut out some jumbled words and arrange them in order to create the sentence. They then glue the words onto the page.

Other skills are covered too
The awesome thing is that these types of activities also work on fine motor with the coloring, cutting, sorting, and gluing.
As well as fine motor, students are able to practice reading, writing, sight words, spelling, and handwriting. What a versatile acivity, am I right?!

The four worksheets pictured so far are seasonal. They are perfect for spring, summer, fall, and winter lessons.
