Hey there,
Are you looking for fun and engaging ways to teach sentence structure to your Kindergarten or First Grade students?
Building sentences is a great way to do this!
Sentence building (also known as sentence scramble) worksheets are ideal for little learners who need practice with writing sentences.

How do they work?
Students practice their fine motor skills by cutting out the words. Next, they read the words and put them in order. This is great for reading and sight word practice. Finally, they glue the words into a sentence.

Then they get to practice writing the sentence on their own, which is good for handwriting practice. Once they’ve finished that, they can color in the picture.
Sentence building worksheets are ideal for literacy lessons and centers because they are no prep for teachers and easy for students to complete.
Here’s what some teachers have to say –
“The graphics on this resource were engaging and promoted language. I have been working on sentence imitation and increasing intelligibility with connected speech. This was great for that!”
“I like using worksheets that combine several fine motor skills, such as coloring, cutting, gluing and handwriting. My students love putting together the sentence and then writing the sentence about the picture. It also helps them to understand sentence structure and grammar.”
