Hi fellow TPT sellers,
Are you wishing you could hit a milestone like earning $1,000 on TPT?
Are you wishing you could earn thousands of dollars every month?
It is achievable, but it does take time.

TPT is a bit like a race. But not on a smooth race track. It’s more like a forest with lots of tree roots you could trip over.
Instead of getting off to a slow start and watching everyone else race ahead, you can be the one who has a head start.
Instead of tripping at every step, you can learn all the tricks so you know what’s coming and what to avoid.
Today I want to give you a hugely important tip for how to kickstart your TPT earnings in order to make $1000 on TPT. Then at the end of this post, I want to give you another option. A way to have all the answers in one place.

Here is the most important piece of advice:
You need to treat TPT like a business.
What do you think of when you hear the word business? Most people think of someone who runs a shop or a restaurant. I imagine a hard-working owner who works 7 days a week and spends his hard-earned savings on investing in his business. Not many people imagine a teacher spending her evenings making worksheets. That’s a side hustle, right? Wrong!
TPT is a business. You make a product and you try to get someone to buy it. You are charging someone for your work. When you change your mindset and start to view it that way, that’s when the success happens. That’s when it’s possible to make $1000 on TPT.
Why? Because then you stop just making worksheets and ‘hoping they sell’. You start to think of those worksheets as a product that needs careful marketing. Also, you start to work on convincing a buyer that they need your product. You become a marketer.
Those sellers on TPT who are earning thousands of dollars are treating their store like a business. They invest a huge amount of time and often invest money too. That’s why they are seeing success.

Is there a way to fast track things to make $1,000 on TPT?
Yes, if you’re willing to invest in your business. Take a look at my course for TPT sellers – The Terrific Teacherpreneur. It will teach you how to create quality products and how to market them so teachers will actually want to buy them!

Another great post. I’ve been trying to think of my TPT as a business MORE but it’s still my side hustle when I teach full time esp during a pandemic
Thanks Amber! I know what you mean, TPT is understandably not the first priority as a full time teacher and especially in the current climate! But it’s still good to try to get into the mindset, so that when you do get a spare moment to work on TPT, you spend your time wisely. That might mean product creation of course, but also actively spending time learning about marketing. Researching how to use certain platforms and making an effort to pin or make attractive covers. Marketing is so valuable! I hope summer school is going well 🙂
I LOVE THE NEW LOOK OF THE WEBSITE <3 BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Thanks Amber! I’m in love with it!
Thanks. I have been treating my TpT store as a business and doing my best.
