Today’s post features some pictures of my classroom and stationery organization ideas for teachers. The only thing I LOVE more than stationery is organizing it!

The following picture is of my sharpie/crayon organization hack! I got bored of having too many pen pots so I simply bought a wine rack for a couple of dollars at Kmart and recycled some old sauce jars. Voila!

Organizing colored pencils
I can’t take credit for this next one as I saw lots of beautiful pictures like this on Pinterest and did the same. I recycled some old tins, covered them with colored paper and washi tape and organized my pencils!
A little time consuming now I think about it…but totally worth it! I made them in my first year of teaching (before I started the year and therefore I actually had time on my hands!) but I’ve used them every year since.
Will the kids sometimes make a mess of them? Yes. Will there be some neat freak kid just like you who loves to tidy them? Of course!

Cute post it notes for teachers
Okay, okay I admit it: I have a post-it note addiction! A multi drawer system was the only way to hide my shameful secret! You can’t blame me, they’re so cute.

How to keep your teacher desk tidy
The secret to a tidy teacher desk is simple: everything must have a place. Other teachers would always look at my completely clear desk in bemusement, but it was simple. Find a folder, drawer, or box to put those bits of paper in. I even ended up having a single file where all the miscellaneous paper goes. So when I was looking for that random thing, I just looked there!

I love owls. No explanation needed.

These cute pen pots from the Japanese store Daiso are perfect for organizing markers!

Where do I buy stationery?
A mixture of places like Target, Kmart, and cheap dollar stores solved all my whiteboard related storage issues. I had a pot or tub for everything.
